Georgia Maloney

Georgia completed her Bachelor of Vision Science with distinction and Masters of Optometry from Deakin University.

With many years of experience in the optics industry, Georgia brings a wealth of expertise to Insightful Eye Care. Her career began as an optical dispenser and as her passion for the industry grew, she pursued optometry as a career path and has helped more than 10,000 patients with their sight ever since. 

Georgia joins our team from a corporate health care and private optometry practices background. Her professional experience has spanned over various optometric settings, from providing clinical outreach services in Cairns to working with high-end eyewear products in luxury boutiques. 

Central to her optometry ethos is a holistic approach to eyecare and a focus on preventive clinical management. Georgia’s area of expertise is in dry eye therapy; this special interest in dry eye treatments showcase her dedication to enhancing a patient’s daily lifestyle from an eye condition that is often overlooked, and can be easily improved with the latest therapeutic equipment and techniques. Georgia’s expertise also extends to paediatric eye care and myopia management, where she recognises the profound and life long impact of early intervention and timely eye care solutions.

Outside the consulting room, Georgia is a consummate foodie and enjoys exploring the vibrant culinary scene in Melbourne, travelling the world and spending time with her french bulldog Griffin. 

Georgia is a member of Optometry Australia, she is therapeutically endorsed and is qualified to provide prescription eye drops.
