Having cared for more than 60,000 people across Australia, Southeast Asia, and Africa, he believes that great vision begins with truly seeing the person behind every pair of eyes.

A passionate advocate for myopia management, Ortho-K and preventative eye disease & education, Darran is known for making complex eye health simple and actionable for families. His calm, educational approach helps patients feel understood and empowered to take charge of their vision.

As Co-Founder of Insightful Eye Care, Darran has helped shape a practice defined by connection, education, and care — where science meets empathy and every experience feels personal & bespoke.

A regular speaker locally and internationally, Darran shares insights on digital eye strain, leadership, and the business of healthcare. He sits on the Johnson & Johnson Vision Advisory Board for Australia & New Zealand, is a serial expert panellist on new contact lens innovation discussions and mentors emerging optometrists and business owners.
