Consultations are eligible for a Medicare rebate, which will be processed for you on the day. Amount reimbursed will be subject to eligibility (ranges from $33.15 to $66.15).

Kindly note: Darran Yeow is not a bulk-billing optometrist; all consultations with him will incur a fee.

How do I get to the practice?

Our practice is located on Swan Street in Richmond, just a short walk from major public transport options with entry via Docker St..

By train (easiest option):

Take any train that stops at Richmond Station (e.g. Frankston, Lilydale, Glen Waverley, or Sandringham lines).
Exit the station towards Swan Street.
Walk 2–5 minutes along Swan Street towards Church Street.
The clinic is located at Shop 4, 161–165 Swan Street.

By tram:

Catch Tram 70 (runs through the CBD along Flinders Street).
Get off at “Richmond Station / Swan St” stop.
Walk a few minutes along Swan Street to reach the clinic.

By bus:

Bus routes 246 or 605 stop near Swan Street and Punt Road.
From the stop, it’s about a 1–3 minute walk to the clinic.

For those bringing private vehicles, onsite parking is available. Parking is free for the first 2 hours on Swan St or Docker St, and paid parking is available directly behind the practice.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring all the glasses you currently use, including optical and prescription sunglasses, as well as any contact lenses you wear. This helps our optometrists better understand how you see day to day so they can more accurately assess your vision and provide the help you need.

If available, please also bring a copy of your most recent prescription, any previous referrals or reports from your ophthalmologist, and your Medicare, private health insurance, and or pension card if applicable.

Our Richmond clinic is open from the following days:

Saturday 9- 5pm
Sunday & Monday CLOSED

What are your payment options?

We take cash, EFTPOS, all major credit cards, including American Express and Afterpay.

I need to cancel/reschedule my appointment. What are the steps I need to take?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment at our practice, please call us on 9551 4244 so we can arrange a more suitable time. We understand that life happens, and we greatly appreciate at least 24 hours’ notice, as this helps us offer the appointment to other patients who need their eyes checked.
