We are pleased to announce that as of 27 November 2023 our Dingley practice will be assuming the responsibility of eye care for all Brandon Optical patients.

We write to you today with mixed feelings, after being at the helm of Brandon Optical over the past 10 years, we have decided to hand over the responsibility of taking care of Brandon Optical patients to the team at Insightful Eye Care-Dingley and their optometrists: Dr Darran Yeow, Dr Mark Glogowski & Dr Georgia Maloney. This is an optometry practice that shares our values and beliefs in providing best practice in optometry and client service.

Darran has a vast and diverse professional experience – having worked domestically in metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and South Australia; and internationally in East Timor and Singapore. He believes in giving back and as such, has worked as a volunteer optometrist in Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia. Darran now speaks and teaches on behalf of organisations such as Johnson & Johnson and CSL; he also teaches and mentors other optometrists and business owners.

Dr Mark has practiced in metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria, various locations in Western Australia; he has also practiced internationally with the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Centre in Oklahoma, USA. Dr Mark’s specific area of focus is specialty contact lenses including Orthokeratology or more commonly known as “Braces for the Eyes”.

Dr Georgia began her career as an optical dispenser and then pursued her passion of optometry over ten years ago. She has worked in both corporate and private practice settings and her experience ranges from providing clinical outreach services in Cairns to working with high-end eyewear products in luxury boutiques in Melbourne. Dr Georgia’s area of expertise is in dry eye therapy using the latest therapeutic equipment and techniques.

Together, the Insightful Eye Care team have a strong interest in children’s vision, managing myopia (short-sightedness), Ortho-K and specialty contact lenses, along with dry eye therapies and treatments and are strong advocates of early detection of eye diseases. All can prescribe ocular therapeutic medicines (when required) and are passionate about building long term relationships with patients and providing them with the highest quality eye care.

Brandon Optical has been our labour of love and we are confident that we are leaving it in the capable hands of the team at Insightful Eye Care-Dingley. Your patient history, consultation notes and prescription have been transferred to the Insightful Eye Care team as such, we trust that they will continue to provide you with the great care you are accustomed to.
